We are a church.
We are a network of simple churches.
We are a movement of discipe-makers .
Our vision
Our dream is to see a Gospel Movement that begins in Santa Clarita and multiplies. throughout the world.
There is a latent potential in the Body of Christ to fulfill the great commandments (love God & love others) and the great commission (multiply disciples). However, this is often stifled by our extra-biblical traditions, qualifications, and distractions.
If we return to a simpler form of church and release the Body of Christ from hindrances and distractions we can rediscover the latent potential for rapid multiplication and yet see every sector of culture transformed by the Gospel in our city & beyond.
Our Name
The rhythms of the early church in Jerusalem included gathering as the church in homes and gathering as the church regionally in the temple courts, known as Solomon’s Colonnade (also translated as portico).
col·on·nade (n): a long sequence of columns (simple churches) joined by their entablature (the regional network)—a system of structural support that disperses weight horizontally and compresses it through the columns.
“. . . and they were all together in Solomon’s Colonnade.” – Acts 5:12b

OUR DISTINCTIVES
-
Rather then focusing our efforts on the ministry that a few staff or clergy do, leaving much of the church on the sidelines as consumers or spectators, we emphasize releasing every believer as a disciple-maker who can use their spiritual gifts for disciple-making.
-
Loneliness is not God’s design for humanity. The individualism of our culture often seeps into the Body of Christ and disrupts the flourishing of our souls and relationships. Instead, we believe that everyone should have authentic and meaningful relationships. As a result, we are intentional to invite isolated people into our homes and lives. We push back against a culture of hurry and a fascination with the crowds, by being intentionally available for a small group of people.
-
We don’t carry any illusions that ours is the one right way to be the church. In every generation, Jesus’ church has adapted in order to be faithful and more effective in that time and place. As a result, we celebrate the many expressions that make up Jesus’ bride across the globe and the many shapes and sizes right here in our city.

Currently, the church is not keeping up with population growth. The population is multiplying and the church is adding. If we want to see the world reached we need to reproduce disciples, leaders, simple churches, and movements (2 Tim. 2:2). When possible, instead of adding new people to our existing simple churches we multiply by walking alongside them to begin a new simple church.
